Ever since I was a child I have had a fascination for objects, or anything I could get my hands on. It has always interested me to understand how they are made, and what they are made from. I took apart anything I could, tape players, CD players, anything. As I grew up I discovered I have a true interest in drawing, especially products.
Now I'm older, I realize that innovation and design is my passion, and I would love to live my life as a designer.

| EXPERIENCE |

I'm currently an undergraduate studying my first of four years of Design for Industry at Northumbria University in Newcastle.
I previously studied on a BTEC National Diploma of Art & Design. I chose a general course to broaden my talents, and get a hand at various artistic fields.
At school I played a key role in changing my society and was voted ‘student councilor’ to work along side the council. I was also awarded a prefect badge. I'm currently the year representative for my graduate course.
In the past I've worked alongside a local design company for a week working with clients and CAD elements. During summer I worked weekends as a sale assistant in a clothes retail. I gained experience in handling cash and displaying stock. I got to communicate with new people, which was by far the most benificial part.
Various summer projects have involved designing graphic for tshirts for various brands, no profit gained.

| INTERESTS |

I really enjoy meeting new people.
I enjoy shopping. I find it invaluable to be able to walk out and be able to touch new products, and get a feel for the it's design. (Many-a-time I've set the alarms off, for 'just looking')!
I love to go out and do productive things just as much as I enjoy going out doing nothing in particular. There's nothing better than sitting in a coffee shop 'people watching.'
I love music and you'll almost always see me at live music venues. I play both the guitar and the keyboard - I try to be musical but my hearts in design!
I like to laugh and have fun. Ricky Gervais is my favourite comedian. Sometimes I think people take things a little too seriously. Never forget; life is for living.
I can't go without mentioning Art & Design. I love it with all my heart. Be it Graphic (Stephen Bliss), Architechtural ('Le Crow'), or Industrial (Deiter Rams). Simply anything.
